【摘要】:Theproceduredescribedinthispracticeisdesignedtoprovideguidanceforevaluatingtheeffectsofoutdoorexposureonvarnishesappliedtowoodensubstrates.Formanyproducts,fixedangleexposureswillproducehigherdegradationratesthanthenormalenduseofthematerial.Thedegradationrateproducedbythisproceduredependsontheseasonoftheexposureandgeographicallocation.Becauseoutdoorweatherconditionsvaryfromseasontoseasonandyeartoyear,thispracticeisnotreliableforestablishingabsoluteperformanceratingsforvarnishes.Thepracticeshouldbeusedonlyforcomparingtherelativeperformanceofvarnishesexposedatthesametimeandsamelocation.1.1Thispracticecoverstheprocedureforevaluatingdurabilityofvarnishesappliedtoawoodensubstrate.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
